Gabu Chocolate House
Calling all chocolate lovers! If you grew up watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or you simply have a sweet tooth that needs spoiling, this is your golden ticket. Gabu Chocolate House is a must-visit — tucked away in one of London’s most luxurious neighbourhoods (do I even need to say more?)
Okay, yes I do — because these chocolates deserve their flowers. The cocoa pods used here are imported straight from the Tri-Island State of Grenada — lovingly known as the Spice Isle — and the name couldn’t be more fitting. Grenada is famous for its vibrant Jab Jab culture during Spicemas, but it’s also home to some of the world’s most exquisite organic, farm-grown cocoa beans. Every bar is crafted with precision, quality and love. One bite and you’ll understand why I’m officially spoiled from any other chocolate.

Behind this powerhouse brand is Lisette Davis, a born-and-raised Grenadian with a serious passion for chocolate—and for carving out a new path for herself and for Grenada right here in London. Funny enough, I actually met Lisette back in Grenada during one of her chocolatier tours, and let me tell you—it was a day to remember. We were joined by former CEO Petra Roach, and the whole day was just this mix of stories, laughter, and (of course) endless chocolate. From diving into the different chocolate-making processes, to tasting those rich, volcanic flavours, every stop along the way felt like a little adventure. And honestly, the journey itself was just as sweet—the picturesque views driving up to each cocoa farm, the sun shinning, tied it all together and made the whole experience feel exciting.
One of the moments that still cracks me up to this day was when Petra kept asking this sweet young tour guide (he must’ve been around 20 or 21) to stop calling her “Ma’am.” Poor guy was trying so hard to break the habit, but it kept slipping out—and Petra’s playful frustration had us all in stitches. It was the perfect cherry on top of an already unforgettable, laughter-filled day.
On that note, Gabu is currently the only Grenadian chocolate house in the city and has even been voted one of the Top 5 best chocolates in London. Now that’s representation.
