Quick Meal Inspiration đŸŒ±
Light, filling and clean!

My relationship with food has changed so much over the years, and I would say I am much more of a lighter eater. Having been a heavy eater a couple of years back, I can now confirm that I much prefer to eat light and clean. My stomach tends to reject anything too processed, any heavy red meat, or excessive junk. Hence, I’ve decided to create a post dedicated to highlighting some of my favorite quick meals, snacks, and juices. I hope you guys try something!

Quick Meals

Plantain- Fish- Channa- Salad

Time to prepare: 30 minutes


Guyanese Twist

Quinoa- Plantain- Okra- Dhal- Olives

Time to Prepare: 40 Mins

Dhal is split peas, it’s an Indian dish than can be eaten with any kind of rice or however you choose to eat it.


Pitta Delight

Pitta Bread- Black beans- Avocado- Cucumber- Red Pepper- Vegetable samosas- Cheese

Time to Prepare: 20 minutes

I recently came up with this combo and it’s such a banger. I was literally closing my eyes eating this LMAO.


Light Bites

Mexican Hummus base- Boiled egg- Kale- Cheese- Plantain- Vegetable spring rolls- Orange

Time to prepare: 10-15 minutes


Chickpeas- Cucumber- Grapes (i also added in a herbal bread)

Time to prepare: 10 minutes


Loaded Quinoa Bowl

Quinoa- Salad- Roasted Tomato‘s - Onion- Pumpkin seeds- Plantain- Black Beans-Pumpkin- Carrot- Apple- Cucumber- Sweet Pepper

Time to Prepare: 20 minutes


Hummus Salmon & Potatoes

Salmon-Lime- Potato- Plantain- Avocado- Sautéed Vegetables (Broccoli, Mushroom, Onion, Carrot).

Salmon Base

Grind seasoning:

This can be blended garlic, onion, spring onion, time, and mustard. You are free to create whatever seasoning you’d like to marinate your meat in.

Additional seasoning:

Fish seasoning- Salt- Black pepper

A Mexican Hummus went on top of the Salmon once I finished seasoning it. Then last thing was my chilli flakes and my limes, which I squeezed on the salmon before I put it into the oven.

Time to prepare: 25- 30 minutes


Vegetarian Burrito

Burrito wrap- Black beans- Avocado- Tomato- Cucumber- Salad- Cheese- Homemade Potato Fries

Time to Prepare: 20 minutes


Yogurt Bowls

Greek Yogurt- Granola - Apple - Flaxseed- Pumpkin seed- Honey

Time to Prepare: 5-10 minutes


Greek Yogurt- Chocolate Granola- Strawberry- Honey

Time to Prepare: 5-10 minutes


Smoothie Base: Blueberry & Pineapple

Banana- Apple- Flaxseed- Pumpkin Seed

Time to Prepare: 10-15 mins

Healthy Snacks

I have so many more healthy snacks: Potato pudding, carrot and hummus, Coconut jelly, pickled mango, plantain chips, any kind of nut. What are some of your favourite healthy snacks?

Now there has to be some sort of balance so I will include two of my favourite not so healthy snacks I’ve been enjoying since being in London.

You can purchase this in Lidl’s | There’s also different flavours. This one is quite strong, it really gets my stomach ready for the day.

Pure Cane Juice 🎋

I didn’t make this drink obviously but this cane juice from peckham is a must try, it’s super refreshing and doesn’t leave me feeling jittery, like how a sugary can drink might get you.
